That rattle noise is actually the vacuum seal that has come loose within the Tumbler. If you put ice water in there and the exterior of the cup gets extremely cold, that's a good indication the seal has broken and it's not going to perform very well.

Would that cause the cup to sweat also! I have one that sweats when I add ice & cold liquids to it.

The Boz (not many of you are old enough to remember ) once told the story of his summer job at a vehicle assembly plant; got bored and would drop a nut into various door panels or other places where it would rattle!

Unfortunately I am old enough to remember that story.

If you want real quality without the ridiculous prices - go with Bison! Also, if you ever did have an issue, you can talk to a real human (an American, to boot) with a single call, and they stand behind their product.

Huh my experience when I had an issue with my Yeti was exactly the same and they sent me a new cup.

Once it rattles, the vacuum insulation is gone. That's a little cap at seals the vacuum insulation between the two walls.

Actually he did. It said something like, "you finally found me." Not quite as good as his job watching a pumpjack go up and down, but a college kid has to make a living somehow. :-)
