Your not near salt water...so you should be good...mine is well taken care off but is rusting like crazy, and glad I bought the warranty as "little stuff" keeps breaking...I've got a buddy that guides for a living and uses mule buggies exclusively, says polaris just won't hold up...I like mine but I agree with him...they are light weights or require extreme babying
Maybe the newer ones or something? I have a 2013 that I never had to replace a thing on and its been run on hard terrain in Sonora.
The Kubota RTV's are hydraulic driven, which motivated me to buy one when they first came out. It was a lemon, underpowered POS and Kubota gave terrible warranty service.
The Polaris and Kawasaki's are both belt driven. However, my Kawasaki's could not handle occasional submersion without breaking or slipping belts and my Polaris' have handled it fine.
The Honda Pioneers in smaller size are built on an ATV frame, and I believe may be chain driven as a result.
What were you trying to do with the Kubota? It won't win any land speed records but it will pull anything in 4 low and has incredible torque and the continuous hydraulic clutch is better than any belt. I use a Ranger, Mule, Kubota at work and the Kubota wins hands down
I like the receiver for the carry rack. Pretty clever idea.
Thanks. I have 3 receivers on my ranger now. Front, back, and top. I figure having my winch on a receiver hitch mount gives me more places to utilize the winch. The top back for lifting game into the bed, then move the cargo rack to the front receiver to keep gear out of the way
Good advice...the bed seat is all welded in with seat belts, but I'm checking on what type of liability insurance I can get regardless if it had the seat or not. When I had my own Land Agency before, I carried insurance to protect me from clients injury.
With a law suit crazy environment, we are forced to think about this!
I think what he was referring to was the bed latch opening and potential for people to fall out backwards, seen it happen on a dove hunt last year while the guys were holding loaded shotguns could have been a disaster.
i have a 2014 900 crew, the only issue i have every had with mine was if you leave it out in the rain, a heavy rain water gets into the belt housing. then you have to drain the water to get it going or the belt slips. Polaris ended up fixing the issue at their cost. other than that i am happy with it.
