On my Ten Point, I have to cock it with it on fire. When i do that, it automatically puts it in safety. If i cock it while its on safety, i end up where you are now.

This ! One of my hunting partners does this about a dozen times a year . If I remember correctly put on fire (off safety) and pull the string back until it clicks again . That is the little bracket that the bolt lifts up when the bolt is slid in . A much harder way , is to pull the string back , have someone lift that little block out of the way (we used a small stick) and then slowly let the string off . Hopefully you are using a cocking rope . First time I did it for him I almost broke a rib because my arms were not long enough to let it go all of the way . Whatever you do, do not get any body part in the way of that string in case it releases .
You need to draw the crossbow back on fire and when the string catches in the trigger mechanism it puts the crossbow safety on .
The problem sounds like the anti dry fire mechanism. I had the same problem last year while in the stand, and had a nice buck under me. It took me re-seating the arrow several times before I could disengage the safety selector switch. Ended up getting rid of it after that.
It could be that. It just seems like the safety switch should move forward more that it is. And if the anti dry fire block is the issue I would assume the safety wouldn't not be able to disengage.
Are you sure you have the right bolts? The diameter of bolts has to be sufficient to lift safety interlock when it is slid all the way back against the string. My concern is that you may have the wrong diameter, hence it doesn't have height to raise the interlock clear of the safety switch.
Hello guys!!!! It's easy. Take it too your nearest Cabelas, they will send it in "for free" Barnett will replace the innards. Your safety is broken. I had the same issue, mine came back about 14 days later with a brand new works inside and no problems ever since. That piece breaks and falls down....
Take a small flat head screwdriver and push the anti dry fire piece up as far as you can while trying to put it in fire. If that doesn't work take a hammer and tap the safety towards fire. Please watch your fingers and try and do all this from the back of the bow. It's a time bomb waiting to blow. Be safe.
