I just double checked and the string is back as far as it can go. I read thru the book and it says once you hear the audible click it's ready to go. I heard it and at the point the string locked into place.
Did you have it on safety when you pulled it back? My brother has a ten point and we couldnt figure out how to fire it until we had it on safety and pulled it back.
There is a black safety interlock that drops down over the string holdback fingers when the bow is cocked. The bolt/arrow must be as far to the rear as possible to lift and disable the interlock.
Only thing I can think of is if the string is not pulled back evenly causing some kind of side pressure on the saftey. I use a cocking rope so I get a even pull. Just a thought.
Mine has a double audio click. If it's not cocked back far enough, or the bolt dose not engage the saftey dry fire release, it dose the same thing when the trigger is pulled. So all I have to do is recock it till I hear the click again. Make sure the bolt is fully seated. And it is ready to go.
If the bolt slides just a little forward to activate the anti dryfire, it will not fire again until recocked properly. Even with the bolt reseated.
Yes I've put the rope back on and pulled and it doesn't go any further. I'm actually afraid to pull much harder for fear of breaking it. I pushed the bolt back with my hand as far as it would go and still no luck.
