IMO, the purpose of this thread and its original post has gone from semi-informative "competition-induced" to a battle of he said she said. Chops makes some absolutely beautiful knives at a price point 95% of us could never touch. Many, many others on this site make some absolutely beautiful knives that will last lifetimes, using good quality materials at a price most on here can afford. Makers Marks are great, but if i do my research and a blade doesnt have one, so be it. Sorry, but this thread has come off as an attack on all the "part-time" knife makers. Some of us buy Redhead brand Camo, some of us buy Kuiu Camo.......

I believe several of these makers are all on good terms or friends with the exception of 1-2. "Handmade" just means something totally different to these guys who truly make them that way.

I have some 1911's made by a really good smith that has since passed out of the Zapata area...2 were made before he started identifying. No intentions of selling, but their value is lost to the masses. Just trying to give you my $0.02 on why the MM has value in my eyes as this is kinda similar to your 2 blades.
FWIW anyay...

Remember I too once made knives at a VERY affordable level but you know I ALWAYS had a stamp.
One other item about this since it was brought back up. I went and looked at the Lifetime warranty on ebay and we just had a good ol laugh!! Seems it's lifetime UNLESS it's been used or sharpened or rusted or.....

Let's right this ship and get back on topic...I think it could be a valuable thread since many hunters are drawn to nice knives. Here's a group of a few makers marks on some of the knives in my collection. Some of you might recognize a few (or all) or the makers marks...some won't recognize a single one. For those of you who recognize any of the makers marks, do they represent value to you?
