I live in Simonton over mile from river. The crest should have been Sunday and water is still slowly rising. It is inches from my foundation. Not to dampen folks outlook but I would not expect to see water start falling until 3 days after so called crest. The amount of water spreading out from river is hard to comprehend. Good luck to everyone downstream, this is a bad one.

I've posted this report on two other threads this morning because some folks just follow one thread. Just so everyone knows what to possibly expect a little later this week and possibly next couple depending on how much more rain we get on the upper end.
PK now releasing 19,600 CFS. That's 10,000 more than when I reported yesterday at noon.
Grandbury releasing 23,500 CFS. That's 5,000 cfs more than yesterday last report. Whitney lake will flood again.
Proctor is +21 ft above normal and trying to hold water back as much as possible.
I expect ACE to hold as much water back as possible on the Whitney lake and Lake Waco, because of the flooding already underway down stream on the Brazos. Both of those lakes have some flood capacity left at the present. They will help act as a "bumper to help absorb the shock" of all the water run-off.
Lake Sumerville on the lower Brazos is +21 feet above normal. That's 1.42 feet above normal Flood Capacity. They don't have much room left. And that dumps into where they are having all the flooding on the lower river now.
The town of Breckenridge is experiencing flooding. City water supply system has been compromised.
Most of the lakes in the Breckenridge-Abilene region have reached full or above capacity. They "were" way down and still experiencing drought conditions before this last good rain in that area out to Abilene.Last edited by Texas Grown; 05-31-2016, 07:56 AM.

I saw an update from Ft Bend Sheriff this morning that 359 & Mason is closed due to high water. That was around 6am ish or so. We've been out here since 1996 and we've never seen water like this.
