I am on my 3rd ram. No issues really with any of them. I have owned Chevrolet's, ford's, and dodge's. I guess I have been lucky because I have had no issues with any of them. My last 3 have been dodge. Really like the hemi and dodge's interior.
Oh and my wife drives a ford she likes my ram 2500 much better..
Next time you drive down the road, start noticing every hotshot truck you see. 90% will be Ram.
Next time you go by a sale barn take a look at the parking lot. 90% of trucks will be Ram.
These people pay for their own trucks, make a living with their trucks, and choose the one with the best performance and reliability.
I drive a 2016 Ram 3500.
Wouldnt think of driving anything else.
Up here in Iowa that's not the case. I hate to say it, but Ford wins the working man vote up here (I'm a Chevy guy) alot of farmers drive Ford, with several Chevy scattered around. I'd be willing to say dodge is about last place here, unless you look at the high school kids who just want to blow smoke in a cheap diesel.

Lol. What you call a "cheap diesel" is usually a 15-20 year old diesel that is still on the road.

Like everyone else said the Cummins is probably one of the best motors ever built. I would really deny that. Might take some transmission work, but they'll run forever. Everything else in the truck is junk.
If you put a Cummins with an Allison, in a ford truck, you'd be onto something.
As has been mentioned before the interior doesn't last, paint doesn't last, and Imo they just don't have the power. This is all my experience. Maybe they just don't like Iowa weather.

Anyone saying that Rams interior is junk has never been in a longhorn or larime addition lol.

People often forget how Ford kept the same interior from 1996 to 2008 or so. Same ugly 2 spoke steering wheel, crappy large button radio, etc. Chevy kept their same basic interior for around the same amount of time.

Everytime I hear this idea of putting a Cummins with an Allison to make a great truck makes me realize the person saying it is stuck back in the 90s or early 2000s. Ford and Dodge both make a good transmission that is holding up just fine to their stock settings and some programmers. You cant expect to take something designed to handle 450hp and expect it to hold 800hp.

Must be Iowas because my 3 old Dodge trucks never peeled their paint and they sat in the Texas sun for years. How does an interior not last? Dashes can crack after baking in the 110*+ heats when the sun acts like a magnifying glass but its not just Dodge, other brands do the same. The only thing I can think of that might wear out is the seats and that is usually due to people being fat. They weigh too much and rub the seats on the way in and slide off the edge on the way out.

I didn't say the stock transmission doesn't work, but Imo the Allison works far better, especially if you get a "built" Allison.
It's like your bow or gun, sure the 20$ Walmart release or stock trigger works fine, but that jewell trigger or Scott release sure feels better.

A built Dodge transmission does just as well as the built Allison... Hell, I think the Ford transmission did 800hp until it died on a dyno

To reiterate what has been said above, those of you knocking the Ram interiors clearly have not sat in one since 2012. When the Generation 4 Ram came out with Fiat's backing, they completely revamped the vehicle interiors. I always had a negative perception of Rams prior to test driving all the diesel Trucks in 2013.
After driving the big 3's 3/4 ton trucks, I walked away astounded by how much Ram had improved. So much so, that I bought a Ram. I felt it was the best truck made at that moment, and have not had a single hiccup with my truck since that point in time. Their interior fit and finish is at par or above their competitors now adays. Don't let the horror stories of the 1980's-2010 fool you, these new trucks are a different animal.
I suggest anyone who questions these trucks go sit in one or take one for a test drive. I imagine your perception will change mush as mine did.

You can get "built" Ram transmission. Oh yea, and it's cheaper to build them as well.
