Electrical issues and transmissions have been my problem. Had an 04 or 05, 1500, can't recall exact year at the moment. It was about 3 years old, somewhere in the 60k miles range. Had electrical problem and burnt to the ground in the parking lot of pet-co.
Have had several 3/4 tons and a 1 ton, engines were all bulletproof, transmissions were hit or miss, several replacements and other held up just fine. Lots of issues with dash lights coming on and off, different switches, windshield wipers, blinkers, stuff like that always having problems. One of my 3/4 tons, the left blinker made the doors unlock...

The problem with the rest is its a Dodge.

I don't have a truck but the wife has an avenger that's a couple years old. This is spot on. The car runs good but the interior is pure crap. 40,000 miles knobs loose, trim rings popping off and seats wearing out. My 8 year old Alitma with 130,000 miles looks new compared to the Dodges interior. They got me once but it won't happen again.

I must be a lucky one. I've had 7 dodge vehicles and none of them have ever been in the shop. But I maintain them very well.

Have to disagree with this...my 2015 ram 2500 with coil springs doesn't squat nearly as bad as our f250 (also a 2015) does with the same weight. Those coil springs are pretty dang stiff and don't ride as smooth as everyone says. The coil spring 1500s ride like a cadillac though...

You may have made some salient points...but the lack of a single period turned me off. Sorry to be a grammar nazi, but it was hard to read.

On my 3rd straight RAM! 01,06 and currently a 12. Have not have any problems out of any that weren't general stuff, my 01 I had to replace radiator and water pump. Only got rid of it cause I needs 4 doors, my 06 got totaled in March by Hail. And I'm loving my 12 RAM. I'm a big fan of the HEMI. All mine have been gassers so I cannot speak to the quality of the diesels.

Next time you drive down the road, start noticing every hotshot truck you see. 90% will be Ram.
Next time you go by a sale barn take a look at the parking lot. 90% of trucks will be Ram.
These people pay for their own trucks, make a living with their trucks, and choose the one with the best performance and reliability.
                    I drive a 2016 Ram 3500.
Wouldnt think of driving anything else.

That's exactly the way I see it. I look at what the people working their trucks are using. If the Ram Heavy Duty truck is good enough for those who work them daily they're good enough for me to do whatever I need it to do. I know when I got an hook up to a trailer loaded down with wet hay I'm not going to have any problems moving it wherever I need.

I'm also still seeing a bunch of interior comments from people that owned previous generations of the Ram. While I do agree with them on sub par interior and what not. The generation 4 Ram is a total redesign and not the same truck they're making judgement based upon. Would be exactly like me saying Fords are all junk because of the 6.0 fiasco.

Anyone saying that Rams interior is junk has never been in a longhorn or larime addition lol.

If you are going to keep it for a long time, don't buy a dodge. They might drive for a while, but everything will be broken.

They are a cheaper disposable short term use truck.

I kept my last Ram for 10 years.Filters/fluids/battery and brakes were all I ever changed. No transmission issues.Original dash intact.
The one before it I had for 9 years.
