Set goals that make you accountable. I do photos, that I force myself to take regardless. The competition goal is great too. It sets a time to finish and your weakness or failures will be exposed forcing you to stay focused.
For those that don't want to weigh everything, just eat clean. Your body will tell you when your full and as long as it's clean it's very hard to overeat. Just try and eat 3000 clean calories, you will be eating all day long! I'm cutting now and only eating 1700 but it's enough food that I'm not hungry and still loosing weight at probably below or close to 8% bf
Was 8.125% 2 weeks ago and still cutting, will get rechecked this Friday to make sure I'm going the right direction

This is me approaching 200 on a small 5'7" frame. 2nd image is about a year after following primal principles.
In full disclosure, I've added some of that weight back on, but it's due to my laziness.Last edited by Playa; 04-19-2016, 10:27 AM.

Haven't made my meal plan but I'm planning on doing something like this. 2 boiled eggs in the morning, mid morning snack of one fruit, lunch maybe a salad after noon snack small package of tuna, then dinner I like to a bigger meal something like grilled chicken with green beans with a small salad. That's just a example not what I'll do every day I gear it towards my work out days so I'm getting a good food for recovery and engery. Sometimes I throw in a protein shake for mid afternoon snack, my biggest road bump is supper time as my wife is smaller so she can eat whatever she wants and no gain anything, so some good healthier supper ideas for the whole family would help

Just a tip: that ain't enough breakfast for a 4 year old
Eat a palm sized portion of protein at every meal. With whole eggs min would be 2 plus a few whites. @ 180# I eat 8 meals a day and breakfast is 1 cup of whites and 1 whole egg with 1/2 cup oatmeal ( dry weight.... Makes a bucket of oatmeal cooked) that only about 310-315 calories... And takes 2 bowls to hold it all. EAT!!! Salad is great I eat 1-2 bags a day, but there is nothing there to sustain muscle. It's all water and some fiber. Throw a chicken breast in there. Throw 2 cans of tuna in there
There is tons of info out there some is junk, some is science, but staying consistent is the only way to tell what works for YOU. some handle carbs, some handle fat better. I do best in low fat high carb, my wife does better on a higher fat, lower carb diet. But starvation diet will not work and will only waste muscle and plague you with cravings.

Eat way more. I got up the morning and had 3 MetRx pancakes and went to gym. After gym had 4 eggs and cup of oats. got to work and had a 6 ounce sirloin steak and 1/2 avocado. About to eat a grilled piece of salmon and a cucumber. I will eat about 3 more times before 8 oclock tonight. Ill have a casein protein drink and cup of psyllium husks and go to sleep.
I am 603 and weigh 255# right now. My goal is sub 12% bf and carry 250#. Probably wont happen this year but ill get there.

I've Gained about 25 pounds and it's taking a a toll on me I've lost a lot of drive and starting to get tired threw out the day even if I get 7+ hours of sleep. I work out 3 times a day and run close to 15 miles a week, but eat like crap atleast one Redbull a day. I would also like some ideas on healthy drinks. I drink a lot threw out the day and really hate drinking water. I have coast trip plan this weekend so wanna get that out of the way and start strong on minday. Stay tuned as I plan on posting my work out schedule also a full menu of what I plan on eating threw out the weekLast edited by Rack Ranch; 04-19-2016, 01:15 PM.

Ok... never said that. Just trying to let the OP know that they are better for you. Don't be so touchy bro!!
Everybody wants to argue, even over oatmeal.

Clean to me: outside perimeter at grocery store for most part. Meat ( fresh or frozen), veggies ( fresh or frozen) complex carbs ( rice, oats, black beans... No canned junk), nuts, seeds. Nothing "boxed", trans fats.
I'm no " organic", " grass feed " fad, but I've taken processed sugars out and achieved unnatural results in mind blowing time. Works for me
