      I've caught Jackfish on all those lakes. Dorcheat Bayou was the worst. It's full of those dang things. Tie on a shiny new Rogue and they'll tear it all to hell. Received my Lake Bistineau dental degree rolling their lips back with needle nose to get my baits back. Only fish that would wreck a bait worse was Grinnel

        No chance of flooding in. Birds must have carried it. Surely this is not common for an East Texas pond? I'm in Hardin County.
        Also someone using minnows that dumped their left over minnows into the stock tank. I called it a stock tank because I figured you had ducks and such....

          We caught some in a backwoods pond in the SHNF years ago, it was surprising. How long is that one?

          Sure hope they don't make it to Liberty county.

                    They fight good too. The only one of size I've ever caught was just out of Tyler. About 2 pounds.

                            Definitely a Pickerel (looks like a chain pickerel to me)...I caught a boat load of those guys in upstate NY a few years ago...very hard fighting
