Caught this in my catfish pond. I've had this pond for 30 years and never seen one of these.
Yes Bob, it's a pond not a stock tank. I have park benches and flowers

Chain pickerel. Not to common in Texas but they are here. I caught one on Lake Palestine 25 years ago.

For sure a Pickerel, caught many of these in Lake Raystown back in Pa.

The body looks like a pike but the markings don't so I am going to go with a Idunno

Pickerel. We used to catch tons of them in the ditches behind our city park on small plastic worms fishing for bass. They were never very big but fun to catch.

Chain pickerel. Probably flooded in or came in on a bird leg. We catch them occasionally and like others have mentioned, they're good eating!
