There are only two situations in which advice is appropriate:
1. Life or death
2. When someone asks for it

I can't agree with the second one. I've gotten advice that I didn't know I needed. And I dang sure needed it.
Like the saying, you don't know what you don't know.
A cowboy I used to work with gave me all kinds of advice. On horses, cows, marriage, business and life.
I never asked for any of it but I dam sure used it.
