as of 3:45 on the sign out sheet there have been a total of 46 hogs taken.

i am counting each unit up now...

33% of the hunters had killed at least 1 as of 3:45 on Sunday.

we ended up walking 15 miles and biking 3 miles.

not much compared to the you and booner doing 13 in one day

that working out really paid off

Yeah we both admitted that we over did it on day one!
Day 2 we bikes around 4 and walked around 6 which was much better!

Today was quite eventful. Group of 8 were in a field at day break and went into cover upwind. Flushed some out of cover and nailed a boar. The rest ran further upwind and hid a hundred or so yards. Followed their path and came up on a sow with piglets in a nest. She ran into a cedar thicket (upwind) and stayed put until piglets started squealing.

I kneeled down for 2 minutes and she came back out towards me. Bad choice on her part Went to blood trail her and came across four more laid up in the shade. Drew back but didn't have a clean shot.

Both pigs ran into private land and piled up.

What I saw today...
35 - 40 hogs
6 doe
1 impressive buck

This is my second year at Hagerman. Last year was like shooting fish out the barrel with 9 kills. This year- the first two days were challenging. Today it all came together.
