It appears that I am in the 50th percentile, I believe in God and evolution; both are factual and faith based. Science is full of people who took a leap of faith with knowledge behind him/her. When Alexander Flemming started to give people penicillin, I have no doubt that he said a prayer before starting clinical trials.

The diversity on this planet is amazing and beautiful, and we are finding new to us species on a constant basis which are only found in selective areas in the world. Each of these animals may have the same genius but each represent a different species; only found in a certain area and with distinctive characteristics. I believe that these characteristics (with the associated genetic variation) are a product of evolution.

Complex eyes, vascular systems, and central nervous systems seem like a little bit tougher nut to crack to me... But whatever...

Evolution is the logical conclusion from the geologic record, supported and reinforced by cross-examples from the record across the globe in equivalent strata.

Soooo a couple things....

First, the THEORY of evolution is just that a theory... In science it is a theory until either it is proven CORRECT and becomes law... or is proven INCORECT and thrown out... We are in the strange middle ground between the two due to the nature of the question. This is the standing BEST theory that SCIENCE without religion has come up with... take it or leave it that is their best guess.

Now true creationism is tough to swallow as well. We have seen changes in animals that are obvious even in one lifetime...

I tend to lean toward Intelligent Design... Our God created his being with the ability to change depending on the environment and his goals for their species. Using the Macro Micro terms... He created the world with micro evolution (adaptation to environment and the changes in it). I am with many others in needing to see more proof of the interim states of species to believe in full on Macro evolution of one species into a totally different completely separate entity...
