Love my brushed in Popup blind when I'm lazy and wanna wear shorts and read TBH. Other than that I'm in a tree most of the time.

I hunt a lot of canyons where the wind swirls so I prefer ground blinds that are wrapped in plastic and then brushed in.

I was getting bust from thermals dropping during afternoon hunts way to often.

All this being said I believe the land you hunt is the most important factor in what blind you hunt from.

On a ridge the wind is much more consistent so I have a few tripods that work great.

note that I only hunt with Trad gear so I like being close.

Ive only ever hunted in a pop up. We dont have many tall trees. I think I would feel too exposed and be afraid to try to draw.

I like being in a tree for the added field of view.

I prefer the ground because I don't like the idea of falling from a tree. Tripod next, and if I hunt from a tree I prefer a ladder stand over a hang-on or climber for the same reasons. Ladder stand feels more secure to me.

Hand corn from 5-40 yards out in a straight line.
if I hunt on a feeder, it's usually within 20 yards.

                  Pretty much this.
If you are there to kill something, a ground blind will out produce.
Scent containment, freedom of movement and better shot angles.
Elevation only disperses your scent further downwind making it that much easier for a circling animal to detect you and leave. And you likely never even knew he was there.

But the views are much nicer in a tree.
