Tree is less invasive IMO. And I can get away with more movement at 25ft. Scent Control is less important when your high. I put hand corn out around 25 yards.

I agree with this. I put hand corn at around 15-20 normally
And I feel like I can't see anything when I'm in a ground blind
Tree stand but that's not very practical in most parts of west Texas. My pop up is 15 yards from my feeder. I put it up in September and only hunt it when the wind is right.

Same. Ive hunted out of a tree all my life. Mostly at 20ft or so but am on a lease out west where I dont have any decent trees to hang a ladder or hang on stand from.
My main set up is a home made ground blind consisting of dead brush and a tarp. It is a 20 yard shot to the feeder.
Most of my set ups are for under 30 yard shots. I like being up close and personal
Pros to hunting out of a ground blind, plenty of room for a mr buddy heater and a swamp cooler depending on the weather, you dont have to be as quiet and your movement is concealed better.
Pros to hunting out of a tree stand, youre out of their direct line of sight and scent.
For my treestand set ups, it will be a 20 yard shot but I also like to clear 3 shooting lanes for out to 40 yards.
Ground. There isn't a tree tall enough for a tree stand at my lease. I could use tripods but I don't like heights so I prefer ground blinds. Scent doesn't seem to matter too much. I had a perfect wind for my feeder this weekend, but ended up spilling some corn behind me and ended up having several deer directly down wind of me from 5-20 yards and I didn't get busted once.
I prefer a ground blind because I like the shot better from the ground. That being said, I will let a spot "tell" me how it needs to be best hunted, and do whatever needs to be done.
I set most of my blinds 13-14yds from the feeder or hand corn.
I like the view from the tree better but it is hard for my old butt to stay still so a ground blind is getting used more often by me these days. Not to mention I can fire up a heater on those cold mornings in the ground blind. technically, none of mine are on the ground. I use a 4' platform with my pop up and an 8' tower for my other ground blind. The wife's ground blind is about 3' off the ground. That's not much, but that way I don't have to worry about critters or snakes crawling in on either of us.
