While hunt pop-ups sometimes, I really prefer a tree stand. I can see so much more from up there. Scent isn't quite as important etc, etc.

Tree unless it is really cold

I'm in my climber or a lock on 95% of the time. Pop ups are comfortable, but I missed my chance at the biggest buck I've ever seen while hunting out of a pop up and it left a bad taste in my mouth. I still can't figure out how I got busted!!!

22' up in a pine tree for me. No corn but maybe a mock scrape or scent wick at 17 - 20 yards.

Pop-up, but that is because I am to poor to afford a climber. Plus, I generally hunt with a buddy. Bow for the deer and the AK for the pack of pigs/yotes.

being from Louisiana I prefer getting about 25-30 feet in a tree with a climber. when I went to Del Rio a month ago I preferred a ground blind, talk about up close and personal with the game! never been so close to deer before

I go with whatever is best for that spot. West Texas I am 90% blind, but in East Texas I try everything I can to be 25-30ft up in a tree.

I prefer to be up in a tree or on a tripod or ladder stand. With that said, I do hunt pop-ups more often than I used to. Setting up is so much easier. We actually have more setups at our place due to the ease of pop-up blinds.

The deer on my avatar (which I never saw in daylight) passed 7 yards from the base of my 12 foot high homemade treated lumber tree blind in a live oak on an unbaited trail with no feeder or thrown corn. I had dug out a belly crossing under the 400 yard interior pasture fence and blocked the other crossings to funnel movement. That one spot offered bucks at point blank range year after year. The bucks usually turned their heads sideways to belly under which provided the perfect time to draw back unseen, ready to fire bending at the waist as the buck regained his feet proceeding down the trail parallel to me from left to right. But, you had to be on your feet before the buck appeared, and ready to shoot in one second after waiting for hours. Point blank is good.

Tree without a doubt. I never would choose ground over up in the air. Only ones who wouldn't are probably afraid of heights.

Tree hands down but I hunt both. Try to set up 20 yards from any corn if I'm hunting with corn.

For hunting a feeder a ground blind. If I am not using bait/feeder then a tree stand.
