F150: 5.0 or ecoboost?

you guys make me sick. My eco boost sucks gas,'I get 14 mpg in the city and 16 maybe 17 on the highway. I saw 20 mpg once.
when I tow it gets around 8-9 mpg.
Its a 2012 platinum 4x4

whats wrong?


however i love the truck. It has a great ride and I love the peppy engine over the 5.0

I love my 2013 5.0

I have never got over 17 MPG. Work commute puts me at 15.9 usually. Pulling a trailer I get 12. The only thing it has is a MBRP 3inch cat back exhaust.

My work truck is a 2013 f150 with the 5.0. I've put 130,000 on her and zero problems. This is on bumpy, dusty oilfield roads as well. I'm a Toyota guy but I love this ford.
