Not yet. We have the foreman trying the goat idea starting tomorrow thru the end of the week, then we'll try calling this weekend when we get back down there.
I'll post update thru the week as I get them, then maybe this weekend , signal permitting.

There are parts of the hill country where there's no coyotes. From what I've been told at some point in history the state went after them with a vengeance and cyanide at the insistsnce of goat and sheep farmers (anyone else ever hear this?). 12 years ago the place I hunt in Edwards county had not a single coyote to be heard or seen. In the last 6 years or so they're coining back.
                  Hope you get your lion!

We use to hunt south of San Angelo and for 5 years never heard or saw a yote. The land owner told us the goat ranchers in the area had pretty much wiped out the yote population at some point

I was attacked by a cougar in London at the Dance Hall one night, she clawed me up pretty good but I eventually got away!

Use dogs. Dogs are banned now in oregon for cougars. Guys do get em on calls, esp in winter when deer are migrating and yarded up. Also, watch fresh kills, like a farm goat, they will return.

That is exactly what I have heard. I hunt SE Edwards county and never heard coyotes for 9 years and have heard them almost every trip since February.
