Apparently Slanina may be opting for a medical redshirt(unless this is more GP injury lingo trickery). Looks like it will be the 5'7" midgets running around in the slot for the rest of the season.
@Joseph_Duarte: UH BOR agenda includes item seeking approval “to delegate authority to Chancellor to negotiate/execute amendment to contract” of Tom Herman
They want to keep their guy.
My dad is an alumni and visited with the assistant AD a couple of weeks ago and he said they are going to do all they can to keep him. They feel keeping him will help prevent the cycle they have been in and get into a better conference. Once they get into a better conference they will get better TV deals and higher ticket sales at games. This is key for them. They are fund raising like the Dickens right now trying to get donations up enough to keep him.
Don't worry that's just BOB (Burntorange) ribbing you for being an Aggie. You'll get use to him and his style of banter quickly enough. (Hi BOB! )

My first thought.....boy what a mess my favorite sports team is in.
Second thought, everyone is possibly overreacting on the Tom Herman deal. The body of work is not big enough at this point.
I agree! Sometimes fresh blood can reinvigorate a team. I'm not discounting what he has done, but not ready to through the bank at him for a bigger gig until he shows some consistency. I guess ultimately it is a gamble one way or the other...
1) start Kyle Allen
2) beat Vanderbilt
3) win my o7.5 game bet on ags
4) be in Death Valley to see us try to jump lsu in the sec west for pride purposes since I'll be with all tiger fans
5) avoid any of Charlie sheens ex sloots
6) profit
The problem is there are no sure things out there. Urban isn't sitting on the sidelines waiting on a call.
I don't think Herman is any bigger risk than hiring a guy that's been a head coach for 4 years with decent success, ie Strong or Sumlin. And he's potentially a really special coach.

Charlie denies all of this of course. Unfortunately there's a big part of the UT contingent that would be happy with it. Regardless of if you are a Charlie fan or not, I just don't see it without UT assisting in the process. IMHO Miami can't afford the buyout or the $5MM salary he makes now.
