I've always hated AT&T

Ever since I got rid of my old number and they continued to send me a bill for it. I called several times to the customer service and then I called the number and got a lady from the hood that was enjoying her "free to her" service very enthusiasticly.

It was the worst experience I have ever us with a company after my last phone upgrade trying to keep my plan. Same notice for me the rate is going up. I got throttled last year after using google maps for a cross country drive. I sold all my stick in att after this experience. I looked at it as a window into how healthy the company is. They added a protection plan automatically without me asking for it.

I know this isn't exactly what you asked but I'm going to take this time to vent. And share my experience. Not trying to steal your thread. So I apologize in advance.

I Still have unlimited and refuse to change. There are five of us and between streaming music all day and one that just graduated and is currently unemployed, we hit 45 to 50 every month. Even the att employees agree we shouldn't change. They are also completely amazed we hit that many gigs.

it was such a pain the first time I found out they wanted us off of the unlimited plan. It amazes me how they are so sweet and helpful and get everything ready for you. All smiles. Until I tell them I'm not changing my plan. Talk about an instant change in the sales rep. I instantly got attitude. She offered to speak to her manager and heard him tell her, "just don't do it." Blew my mind. Again it was the first time hearing of this and had been a while since I got a new phone. I still had the 4.

They tell me straight up, "we are trying to get everyone off of the unlimited plan and we are also having difficulties with our system." After a few questions she informed me it was only for the unlimited customers. Total bs. But it wasn't worth arguing over, So I left.

After speaking to a few people on the phone at customer service, I found that a) they lie through their teeth and B) they can get you a new phone and keep the plan but try to make it difficult.

so now I just call customer service and they take care of me.

I know for many it may be worth it to Change over but for us it is not. And because I was lied to, I want to keep it even more.

I Hope this helps someone who needs to keep unlimited and is being bullied into changing.

If you had unlimited, they slowed your upload down slow bad you pretty much had to change.

Man we had unlimited and I was smooth talked into a 20 gig plan and we've gone over every month and my bill has tripled and if I could only go back I'd never change.
