    Cookin Chili Question?

Got some Ragin Blaze chili today and was wondering how long do you folks cook the Chili. Have never really made homemade Chili and was wondering.

    Thanks

After browning the meat and onions i put everything in the crockpot and cook it on low for 6-8 hours.

I did about 4 hours in the crockpot and it was fine. I am sure it really doesn't matter... Low for 6 to 8 hours would probably be right on the money.

You are going to like it, my turned out really, really, really good!!!

I usually do about 2-2.5 hours simmering on stove and good to go.

Just got some Ragin Blaze Chili seasoning in the mail (thanks Blake) and he recommends 3-4 hours on low/med in his recipe.

A couple of hours is fine. Then put the pot in the refrigerator overnight. Then warm it up the next day for incredible chili ...

Yeah! It's always better the next day.

The package calls for 12oz tomato sauce (like most chili mixes) and water. I usually add a chopped onion or two and sometimes a clove or two of garlic and a couple of cans of beans with the juice and sometimes a can or two of regular Rotel tomatoes. You can add whatever you want to the base mix for whatever you like. I think that it is pretty good by itself with the tomato sauce.
