please tell me this is a joke post. it is impossible to hit below the spine and above the lungs. however, you can shoot a deer in the lungs and have them live. it happens. but, rarely. the vast, vast, vast majority of high hits up front are over the spine through the backstrap and neck area which are not fatal unless they get infected.

Josh, I let him walk twice already today.....did you want me to kill him? I figured you would want revenge LOL. I just saw him again not 30 minutes ago. Just trolling around this front pasture. Also, I'll send more pictures of entrance and exit later today.

I hit my target cull in almost the identical spot the 2nd weekend of archery season. I got a complete passthrough (arrow on ground with blood on vanes). I also used Ramcats.
There was VERY little blood, a few spots every few yards and I lost the trail around 75 yards. I even had a neighbor with a 'training' tracking dog come and help for a couple of hours to no avail.
That buck hasn't been back on my camera since and hasn't been harvested by any other hunters on my 880 acres lease.
Dead? I dunno.
Learned to eat corn somewhere else? I dunno.
