    I love it all.

Surprised there hasn't been the usual pile-on about Chili doesn't have beans.

Once the weather turns we start making it in our house.

          From another thread.

I've made a slightly altered version of this for some time and have served it at some fairly large gatherings where taste may vary...everyone eats their fill and then some...

I substitute chicken stock for the granules and finely chop some dried but still rubbery Ancho peppers plus use Ancho chilli powder for my dark and a little brown sugar.
You would hate my chili then [emoji91]

The fajita mix is great on everything. We rub it on chicken - need to try shrimp on the Barbie with the mix..........

Dang - Blake may need to send some commissions to BrandonF. I'm going to have to try it myself.

I don't know why folks are waiting for cooler weather. I make chili when I get in the mood for chili. It can be 20deg or 100deg. If I'm hungry for it, I'm making it. There's no such thing as summer food or winter food in our house. I've made big ol chef salads when there was snow on the ground.

My order should be getting to ya Blake.

In about two weeks, I'll be making a chili with 60 lbs of ground meat.

Blake, how much Blaze and Zing Zang do I need?

I was surprised at our church bazaar chili cook-off. Each chili team provided a sample cup, and the difference between them all was what was surprising. One was a veggie chili, which really wasn't bad, but I wouldn't call it chili, either.

Mine won the "hottest" prize, but really, it was no more than 2-alarm. One had beans, another rice, one even with pineapple. Other than being hotter, people said they liked the larger pieces of onion and green pepper in mine.

Find you some. It is the best mix out there. Wally world carries it.

Growing up, my dad always used Wick Fowlers 2 alarm mix... Pre-packaged and simple to make, with a flavor I love. Still use it today. Made 2 pots last night.

Only acause I am out of Blakes mix. Fittin to order more, my daughter requested chili for her baby shower next month.

Also, on occasion, I will add a can of corn to the pot. I was hesitant when I tried it years ago, but it help tone down the 2 alarm.
