I do chili about twice a year - 50 qts. at a time.

Recipe from a cookbook called COLORADO CACHE Daddy's Venison Chile (X 5). Never had a complaint, but I did make it a little too hot for some this year. Got a large jar of chili powder fro Xmas (can't even remember from whom), and it was the heavy duty *** brand.

We had a church bazaar chili contest, and 12 qts. went to that. Got about 20 left before I'll need to make up the next batch.

ZZ has incredible bold flavor and spices mixed in including celery seeds

I find other brands are to bland

Did the same is weekend but used ground turkey!
Also added one can pinto beans, one can red beans and one can black beans.
Heat was from 2-fresh large jalapenos, 3- picked jalapenos, one can hot Rotel and 1/2-teaspoon cayenne pepper.

I just ordered some Ragin Blaze chili mix and some fajita mix as well. Looking forward to giving it a shot.
