That is probably part of it. I have recently hurt my back and my bad shoulder started hurting bad this morning. And of course my kid was pissing me off this morning. So I had a whole pile of stuff going on. I should have just not posted.

I'm half deaf and when I'm sitting in my stand I can hear the guys on the other lease driving his truck to his stand. The crunching of rocks is loud in the still night. He's a long way away from me. Not as loud as a four wheeler. He will hear you way before he sees the light. I hope the wind is right.

I guess a lot of y'all either can't read or don't understand what is going on. So I am not driving by the bedding area the closet I will be with my truck is around 1500-2000 yards. I'm walking around 1000 yards to my blind around 3am. And I miss spoke earlier. Yes the deer see red but red is the color that they have a hard time seeing. So very dim red light where I can barely see the road. the probability that it will both him is on the low end. If I was to walk all the way in it would be around 1 - 1 1/2 miles. So if I get this guy Saturday morning all you negative Nancys can go shove it.

Serious question. Why wouldn't you just walk the 1 1/2 miles in to your stand with no head lamp and up wind of the bedding area if possible?

I would but with my back hurting the way it is right now I don't think that is a good idea
