            New to the area

Greetings all, just retired from the Marine Corps and moved to San Angelo. I've been introducing my 17yr old daughter to hunting (Dove so far) and she is eager to pick up a bow later this year. Looking at starting out at the State Park hunting areas. Look forward to learning from the group and getting some good hunts in this year.

Who do you use for helicopter services? And, if you don't mind me asking, how much does it cost? How many surveys per year do you do?

We have our own helicopter and biologist so I don't have a answer to the price.

For the area Kyle Lange would be the guy to get ahold of for survey services.
                  Look up Langehelicopters inc

Depending on where in Houston, IH10 to 71 to 87 in Brady to SA.

Or, 290 to 130 to Georgetown 29 to Llano to 71 to 87 in Brady.

                      I prefer 71 to 290. I hate 290.

Thanks. We need to do this to get MLD. Spotlight surveys have not been effective.

Honestly, 10 through San Antonio to junction, north on 83 to Eden, then 87 to San Angelo. You can haul *** on four lanes the whole way except for parts of the stretch from junction to Eden.

I though that also and went that way a few times when we first got on the place, but we tried it side by side and I got beat. Traffic on 1604 in San Antonio is worse than traffic on 71 in Austin if you know how to get around the Y in Oak Hill.
