As a Lifer, I feel like dealing with occasional junk mail is a reasonable trade-off for an organization that's spent the last 150 years, 24/7/365, protecting my 2A rights.
You can call member services and have them put you on do-not-mail if it bothers you that much.
I'm a Lifer as well. This topic came up a while back on a talk show and a caller to the show stated that the mailings and junk mail is contracted out by the NRA. Don't know how true that is.

I sure hope they outsource mailings. That can be done much cheaper and faster by a service bureau than the NRA doing it in-house. I want most of every dollar of my contributions going to support the lobbyists who's job it is to strike fear in the hearts of members of congress who might be tempted to listen to Bloomberg, the UN, or any other lefty wacko gun-grabbers.
Long time member, requested not to send mail or call. I have no issues with them enjoy the benefits (Gun Ins...) and glad for the work they do.
Rather they annoy me with junk mail, than the Gov with gun registration or confiscation letters.

Now if I could get the March of Dimes to stop calling. I swear they must have a copy of "Buckmasters: The Art of Pissing People off"...
I'm with you on the Buckmaster thing. I entered some giveaway they were doing once and, of course they called wanting me to subscribe. When I declined the guy on the other end became extremely rude. I have been contacted by lots of telemarketers, etc. but this guy was absolutely the worst I have ever dealt with. It just guaranteed that I will NEVER have anything to do with Buckmasters.
How many of you have had issues with the NRA not handling business?
1. George R Brown gun show last month. Father in law, Brother in Law and myself Signed up for a year.
2. I never received anything from them as of today. Brother and father got another hat and membership card.
3. Today brother in law has a renewal notice from them.
Seriously?.... We just signed up and I have nothing.... brother gets a renewal notice as if his is about to expire.
I'm sorry but if the NRA can't get their business done. How can we depend on them to help protect any of our rights?
So when you became aware that the other two that signed up at the same time as you received their memberships and you did not, what action did you take? Did you call them and try to resolve the issue, or just come to TBH and spend time writing a thread to run them down? It seems like the phone call would have been more effective.
Who else would you depend on? I'm not aware of any other group that has been even close to being as effective as the NRA in pretecting our gun rights?
