    NRA rant

How many of you have had issues with the NRA not handling business?

    1. George R Brown gun show last month. Father in law, Brother in Law and myself Signed up for a year.

    2. I never received anything from them as of today. Brother and father got another hat and membership card.

    3. Today brother in law has a renewal notice from them.

Seriously?.... We just signed up and I have nothing.... brother gets a renewal notice as if his is about to expire.
I'm sorry but if the NRA can't get their business done. How can we depend on them to help protect any of our rights?

The only irritation that I have had with them is they went through a spell of calling me on the phone seems like every few days.
They haven't done that to me in years.
I have been a member since the mid 80s.

Their mailings is why I am not a member anymore. I used to be a member. I would send in my $35 (or whatever the yearly dues were) every year. Then they would proceed to send me more than $35 worth of crap in the mail, either trying to solicit more $$$, or trying to get me to renew waaaaaaaaaaay before my membership was set to expire. I was making the NRA lose money, so I opted to not be a member any more.

You could always call them and ask not be called or sent anything in the mail. Worked for me, never received anything else.

            Yep

That's what I did and no more calls. Mailings I recycle unless I feel like making a donation.

Now if I could get the March of Dimes to stop calling. I swear they must have a copy of "Buckmasters: The Art of Pissing People off"...

My only complaint was all the mailings they would send to me. It always seemed like they were using scare tactics and it wore me out.

I waited until they sent me an offer for a lifetime membership for $500 and I signed up. Mailings have been cut by 3/4 at least if not more.

I suppose the NRA along with all big organizations have their problems in this day of Hi tech but who else is standing up for our 2nd amendment rights ?? I do believe that if not for the NRA our guns would have been gone a while back along with a lot of other rights we enjoy that lay in line with the 2nd amendment . I might be wrong but I still pay my dues and then some . Have a good day and I hope it gets straightened out for you !!

I call them and laugh at least once a year. I am a lifetime member and every year they send me a mailer (with my new card in it) to renew.

But to the OP - yes the mailers get old, but a call will fix it

I like your optimism. And if it is true, then they could be busy doing just that with you know who trying to take the second amendment rights.
I certainly hope that is the case.
