They can be used anywhere, but why would you need them anywhere else? Deer run to feeders when they hear them go off in the hill country

I like it. I understand what you are talking about. Not sure some of the others are grasping the concept but I think its a great idea.

Well, those don't hunt in E Tx!!!
For us E Tx hunters, this could be the next best thing since sliced bread.
The only pics of big bucks in day light I have are over some hand thrown corn or during the rut.
But, I believe the only way it will work, is to get it up in a tree, just like Fred did. Not with feeder legs or even on a tripod winch.
Time to make plans on building something that I winch up/down easily and still be able to keep container somewhat hidden.

This is really cool. I think I'm going to get one as well. I use to have a feeder that was made to feed fish. It just dumped straight down a set amount of food. That would probably do the same thing this feeder does.
