                I would save sunflower seeds till next spring. They Will Come Up But Won't Have time to head out. It will just be a big plant but nothing for them to eat.

                Most things in fall plot mixes can't handle hot Temps without good moisture.

                I'm not a farmer, just my opinion and what has worked (and not worked) for me.
