I'm grandfathered in as well. I was going to upgrade my phone and the wienie at the at@t store told me that they were only offering the next plan. I said bull**** and left. I called their help desk and was told that you can still get the old plan. They are just pushing the next plan. I printed out our text conversation for when I go back to get the phone.

If you get a new phone, the only way you can get it and not be on the Next plan, is to buy the phone at full retail price. You will not like full retail price!!!!!! You cannot get a discounted or free phone unless you sign up for the Next plan.
