Now I do like that aspect. Maintain same wheelbase and have 4 seats. I've driven a RZR4. Felt like I was driving a bus. No fun for me at all. I am really hoping this Honda 1000 is a good motor. Chances are it will be. I've always said if Honda will step up into the big bore market, 800cc+, they'll see their sales climb drastically. I think the time has finally come.

What I understand, the motor has been around for a few years in a different bike with really good results (Called African Twin). Of course the changed cams and a few other minor things.

That's good peace of mind knowing they're already using that platform elsewhere.

I certainly won't own another one.

They all have plus and minuses...

But I have several friends with rangers and couple of them are about as tough as you can get on em ( I wouldn't buy used from any of them) and they all work like a top. Polaris is definitely king in the overall sxs market for now. Well see if this new big Honda can hold up with that type drive train. Will be interesting to see.

My only complaint on Rangers is they squat so dang bad when you load them up. Sounds like this self leveling system may be something that fixes that.
Missed this one, kinda hard to explain but it is mechanical. Watch the "watch and learn" video they explain it there. Hope it will work like advertised, but it will squat for a bit and then when you start moving it levels itself out. I cant wait to see one or reviews once it comes out. I would bet if you want one you will have to order site unseen for the first year. The 700 was like that, they just cant make enough of them.

My goodness, you see the msrp on those? ~$17k.

Edit, now I see they are on par with the Ranger. However, a new ranger (4 seater, EPS, etc.) can be had for about $3k less than that.

I know honda has always been very reliable in the past. Honda was all I've ever owned until a few years ago. In my eyes they've almost waited to long to get in the sxs market. In East Texas if you see a sxs 8 of 10 will be a polaris. Like someone else said, there is gonna be more known problems because they have sold so many more. The last honda I had was a 2006 Foreman 500. We used to ride at different parks all the time. Other brands like polaris and canam of the same size would walk all over that honda in almost every scenario. I know even in the Rincon the power was aweful on the bikes compared to others.
I know own a Polaris xp 900. No problems or complaints.

Skool me here. I have not changed a belt on a Polaris, but have on a Mule. Someone I. A previous posting said this was something that was field replacable. Is it that easy to change a belt on a Polaris?

I know that is not something you do not do without certain tools on a Mule.

I don't think they have it listed yet. There are more info on the Honda forums.

Yep, I agree. I really believe that is going to change with this one. This one supposed to have 77 hp. That is a big step for Honda, the 700 is around 36 hp. And being an inline twin cylinder it should have plenty of torque. I believe only the sport SxS like RZR and can am will have more, but the Polaris Ranger 900 has 68 hp.

You put 77 hp in a SxS it should do anything you want it to do.

If you had the correct tools yes. Tools meaning one socket and an extension. Takes about 20 minutes less if you've done it before
