Man, there's always so much hate in these threads. Think I'll just go flip my tow mirrors up and drive around town for a while with my ghost trailer.
OP, hope you get the fuel system issue worked out without to much money outta your pocket. But I'd seriously consider installing a fass or air dog system, they are well worth the money.
worst part of it all is when i bought truck they convinced me to buy this extra warranty to cover for this situation that i pay an extra 70 dollars a month. called them and they SOL. cant win. gut who sold it to me actually said that it would pay for anything even if my fault. guess i won't change anything anymore. freak the man.
What does this extra warranty say? And you're right it is very hard to win which is why I never buy the extended warranty. I would get way to mad when something bad (like this) happened and then they didn't cover it.
Get a picket sign and stand at the dealership LOL... Last resort but at least you may tick them off a little.
Splitting hairs are we?? You know what I meant and it just your loyalist attempt to vindicate Fords most recent failures because you own on of the only good ones they ever built. Hang on to her cause the future ain't looking too bright for them or your Rangers..
I was one of the unfortunate owners of 6.0 and spent right at $12,000 keeping it on the road and running. Sold it and went with a 2014 F150 with the 5.0. Great truck, but would I buy another Ford Diesel, absolutely, if I ever need one again.

I own a GMC this round but I don't think there is any doubt Ford is doing some things right with the best selling pickup in how many years in a row? I don't think repeat buyers are having the nightmare issues you are harping on.
I also have quite a large fleet of light trucks to manage and it will be a cold day in you know what before we put another Dodge on the road. Worst of any of the big brands at holding up in a daily work situation.

If Dodge could keep a body and interior around those Cummins they might be buyable.. Instead they are plugged with paper footballs to keep the rattles down if....if....if the part doesn't fall off beforehand.

The best selling is the F 150 and they do not make that in a diesel. That is the topic of my conversation so your point here is mute to me.
I agree the F 150 is a great truck but not in the construction, demolition and hauling business.
We still have Dodges on the road and pulling with a half a million miles. I also have a Duramax that is as well. Since we started this business in 04 I have yet to have a Ford stay that long. In 06 cleaning up after Katrina I had 48 trucks hauling demo debris and the Ford was the least reliable for us.
Oh and since we are using truth in advertising as a fact then I would be correct in saying that Dodge/Ram has the longest lasting trucks on the road today...
On my 3rd Ram. Had them all 3 to 6 years each and and never had to put one of them in the shop.
Good for you. I have a 2005 2500 diesel and had a 2006 2500 diesel as well. The 2006 was the biggest POS I've ever had. Front end issue at 65000 miles with the death wobble. The front end ball joint replacement was over $1000. I ended up getting rid of it and buying a 2011 f250 diesel. I kept the 2005 which has gone through a tranny and the aforementioned repairs. Luckily my wife only has to drive it 8 miles one way to work. My Ford would laugh at both of those trucks as far as pulling goes.
My brother just bought a 2013(I think) 2500 mega cab. He was telling me today of an issue they have with the ac. If you are at an idle, it blows hot air...WTH? He said it's a common problem????

That's because folks cant get rid of them unless dodge buys them back.

I agree the older ones won't pull with any of the new ones.. All the new ones are on par with each other though. Can get them all completely loaded really nice and power is pretty much a wash. New Duramax for me but have got to actually use all 3
