I just went through this exact same thing with bad diesel from Sams. Call your insurance company and they will take care of it. Only cost me $200 out of pocket and Ford replaced my entire fuel system.

I have owned a Ram since 2001. I always have them dealer serviced. I haven't had any issues and have even had stuff replaced outside of my warranty. Trust the Dealer you buy from and show loyalty. Mac Haik in Temple is a good place to start. They care about their customers. Mac Haik in Georgetown has the worst service manager ever. A real *****.

God forbid that anyone buy anything but a Ford......

Funny how so many people suffered through the last 20 plus years of diesel failures with them.....

I would not have used Town East Ford even though they are the closet dealer to me. I use Presige or 5 Star.

Insurance will cover these fuel system replacements most of the time, but not always, and the dodge fuel system is not any cheaper. Just replaced a dodge system here at the dealership, business customer, his employee put urea exhaust fluid in the fuel tank, crystalized the fuel system and lines. $20k repair. I still can't believe insurance covered that one. With all the EPA has screwed up on these diesels they are not affordable to own just for fun. You should really only buy a diesel if you really need one and/or can afford big $ repairs. We have are selling more and more 3/4 and 1 ton gas rigs, the fuel mileage difference usually averages out with cost savings on cheaper fuel, cheaper maintenance and less up front cost.

Guess I was one of the lucky ones. I ran F250's for 18 years, only 2 trucks.
                      1) 97, 7.3 was in the shop to replace front hubs once, and once to replace window controls. Had this truck for 8 years only traded it off because I wanted a new one.

                      2) 05, 6.0 was in the shop for a front end alignment. Had that one for 10 years and just got rid of it in April. Only traded it off because I wanted a new one.

I really don't think there's enough difference in any of the three to pick one over the other.

                        P.S.

In the last 45 years or so I have found that most of my warranty problems were not because of the manufacturer but the dealership. And that goes for Ford, Chevy and Dodge.

Just my experience and trust me I had some real losers over that time and yes some were Fords, Chevys and Dodges.

It really don't make a hill of beans which brand of diesel truck you buy, the fuel system is always going to be quite sensitive to fuel quality. It's the nature of the beast with the new high pressure systems. For a fact both Chevy/GMC and Ford use the Bosch pump.

If Ford denies to warranty the fuel system for bad fuel, just call your insurance company. That's what you pay the premiums for, in fact... I'd have called mine the first time the dealer mentioned BAD FUEL...

For those touting the Dodge warranty... HaHaHaHa... seen the news lately.. 300,000 trucks being repurchased by order of the court... Dodge failed to correct the problem... HaHaHa

We have one of the famous 6.7's at work. Fuel tanks rusted out. The mechanic we used redid the entire fuel system for well under 10k.

add a leaf spring and replace rear wheel bolts with better grade/ hardened.
                                then pull whatever you want
