You can probably season a **** enough and make it taste ok. That doesn't make it good to eat..

I think I read a Post on here sometime back, or some other forum, that someone shot a Javelina on a draw hunt and it stunk really bad and the park ranger or game warden said they had to maintain the meat in edible condition or they would be fined. That's all well, but not sure what I would do with it, if it is that bad, I don't have any enemies.

I've eaten javelina twice. The second time I could only blame myself.

I have eaten 4 or 5. Shoot a medium female and take off the sent gland on the back immediatly, switch knifes and finish cleaning it up.

                  Very good meat..................

Dad made some sausage similar to salami out of the last ones we killed. It was not bad.

I will say that we tried to give some to the vaqueros on the place we were hunting, they didn't speak much English and we didn't speak much Espanol but I got "no bueno" out of it. Heck their dogs wouldn't even get close to the dead ones

I killed one at the Texas Shootout a couple of years ago. Iced it down for a week with a cola poured over it every couple of days. Brined it for 24 hours. Good rub and bacon wrapped then smoked for 10 hours. Tasted good to me. They don't have any fat so the meat was dry but it was still tasty.

They ain't that bad. Ive smoked them whole after a double brine with a rinse in between. Also had them made into sausage. It's not my favorite game meat but it will eat.

The piglets are real tasty in my opinion! Split 'em down the spine and slow cook. Never eaten a full grown one and I don't really plan to.

I don't think so! Have arrows quite a few over the years and have enjoyed the meat on every one I took. Javi Tamales, sausage and tenderloins aren't bad if the neat is properly cleaned and cared for.
