You are right on the money Jason.

A great observation by someone who has undoubtedly watched more than a few old bucks go under the fence.

    Good post!

Absolutely!...if he pauses right there...wait until the pause.

No, I'm drawing when he's going under any flinging an arrow at his next stop...hopefully he stops again

I think I would let him clear the fence, my luck he would jump and tear the fence down if I shot him going under it.

I don't shoot moving targets. If that was the case why not shoot them as the jump over the feedpen fence.
I will agree with this. I let my emotions get the best of me this past season and it resulting in a pizz poor shot and no deer to show. Hopefully the deer survived, which based on the shot placement i am about 99% sure he did.

                    No.

Kind of On The Fence about this one. Deer maybe not feeling too spry but still moving. Like the restricted position he's in as far as not being able to jump the string, but I think I'd wait, since he's going in to a feeder pin and should be eating in a relaxed position very shortly. Probably should have shot him before he started ducking under the fence, since he walked right past broadside and probably paused to survey the pen before heading in. (But the pre-pic shot is not an option here.)
