    85gr standard slick trick.

I've done a lot of broadhead testing, and trust me when I say this is the way to go for low poundage.

I can tell you from Experience that the bleeders on the Stingers are small enough not to hinder penetration. Was in the blind when a bow at 34 pounds sailed one thru a doe. But they are just big enough to clean out the entrance and exit holes to allow a tad more blood to hit the ground.

there is no denying they are good, but there are better choices for low poundage,,, the stinger is superior, sharp shooters, razor trick, montecs, and strikers are all better for low weight,,,,

as has already been stated, the shorter taper like the slick trick will reduce the penetration, the longer taper like the stinger is clearly better

Broad head for low poundage bow

I like the Magnus Stingers but don't think I'm gonna find any by Thursday around Victoria. Anyone know what all broad heads the Oasis in Uvalde carries? Stopping in there Fri.

Nothing with short choppy blades unless it's just a small bleeder. I generally always steer people the the Magnus Stinger because it works great and the availability. I also advise against the Buzzcut at that low of poundage simply because a serrated head (which I do love) introduces more friction than a straight edge. And if penetration is what you are going for in the first place no need to hinder it any. I don't even advise Ramcats for poundage that low. All that said 30 pounds with the proper head and arrow is more than lethal. I've set up many low draw weight and short draw set ups over the years and have seen first hand what they are capable of. And that is a helluva lot more than most people think. Also I'm not picking on any brand. It's all about design not really who makes it.
85g or 100g I'm looking to get my girlfriend some broad heads she's pulling about #37

But OP, if you don't take my advice on what head to use, then you might want to keep this list in your pocket with you on your hunt!

Haha! No need. There's gonna be 26 other hunters there this weekend. If he can get a lethal shot, ranch will be turned upside down until we find it.

Greg, do you need 100 grain or 125s?

                          I KNOW I have some 125 two blades ... (3)Muzzy Phantoms and (2)NAP Razorbacks.
I'll be using one or the other, but hopefully only need 1 head.

If it's 100 grain, I'll go check my other broadhead box. I'm sure I have something that'll fit the bill.

Because that's the way WE roll.

If you shoot, and don't claim it ... you don't get invited back.

Then you get butt-hurt, on here!

I hear Ya, I was just poking fun!
Good luck to you and your son, I'm sure you both will have a great time.

As for what head you choose, most of the heads that have been listed will do good for you, just find the one in your opion that you think will penetrate the easiest. (Meaning less drag will result in less KE needed to push it.)
Oasis has a pretty good selection, you should be fine with finding something there if you don't have a Bass Pro around.
