That's too big of a cut for super low pounds. But I do love a Tiger Shark.

Broad head for low poundage bow

My kids (all 5 of them) did good with Magnus stingers and Simmons land sharks. Get em sharp and flying good and they will work great.

Here's my daughter with a landshark and a 35 ish pound bow.

My wife has had good luck shooting Muzzy Phantoms.

Any cut on contact, razor sharp and at least 125gr. With a 30lb draw weight,
do not use anything that has to punch a hole like Muzzy or some of the other hole punch BH's.

              Remember the old saying.
Muzzy, Bad unless they hit bone.

As a general rule if thumb, the best way to increase penetration - which is even more critical for low draw weight shooters - is to shoot a head with a higher mechanical advantage. Two blades have the highest so they should be the first choice.

My wife shoots about 35 pounds and I have her set up with Magnus 85 grain heads. She's 6 for 6 with them and 4 of the six died on camera. I also do not recommend serrated heads like the Buzz-cuts. Stick with a cut on contact head. Those Stingers come out of the package scary sharp. I do use the "4 blade" version but the head is basically a 2 blade head with small bleeders that don't impede penetration significantly but they open the wound very significantly.
The other major factor is shot placement, but you know that.

                    Good luck!!

Very bad choice. Short head with high blade angles.

This weekend we're going Ram hunting at Thompsons and if we can get one under 15 yards might let him try. I've got some 100 grain Swhackers, 100 grain Rage and 100 grain fixed Muzzys. Would one these be better for low poundage or something else?
none of them, especially the mechanical heads,, good chance to spoil a hunt....

if your serious about letting him shoot get a pack of two blade stingers, even the 4 blade will be better than the ones listed, he needs a true cut on contact head, not an expandable, not a chisel tip,,, #1 is the stinger due to the long taper it does cut better than shorter blades that tend to chop more than slice, followed by the razor tricks, wasp sharp shooter would be good, next would be the montec followed by the striker

                            negative,
rams have a thick skin ( think leather) and hide and flesh compress under impact cushioning the impact,, field tips will out penetrate broadheads in most targets always,,

i would also use 2 blade COC broadheads.
                              like the magnus stingers.
I think you have the best chance for good penetration with 2 blades.

                                My son's set up

22" Black Eagle Deep Impact with a 100gr DRT'S and Magnus Stinger and 2" Razor Feathers
                                34#
                                21" DL
                                Mission Craze

                                It has been very successful!
