I have a theory on the shark attacks on the east coast. I think it is possible that all the of rain that we have had increased the fresh water in the gulf and the sharks are moving out on the gulf stream up the coast. What do ya'll think ?

I think sometimes sharks just bite a lot of people. we routinely see them up to 8' wading in the surf this time of year. this year with the exceptional rains nothing has changed, they are still cruising. besides, all this rain we have been having doesn't even begin to put a dent in the coastal inshore salinity.Last edited by muddyfuzzy; 07-01-2015, 07:05 PM.

Agree with this too, it's like mountain lions in California where I grew up. We would never see or hear them before they were protected, about 2 years after they became protected people's kids are getting snatched on hikes, seeing them in neighborhoods on a regular basis. Protect the Sharks there's going to be more of them, combine that with more people in the water and you have people getting bit, combine all that with the right water temps and currents holding food close to the beach and some people are gonna get bit, not rocket science.
