My wife and I are looking to build a small cabin on our place between Fredericksburg and Kerrville in the next couple of years. We looked at a cabin this past weekend that was 392sq ft with a kitchen, a bathroom and room for a queen bed. They were asking $27,500 which came out to $76 a sq ft. What say you GS? Can I get this done cheaper?

Yes sir, he was busy with another guy so I didn't get to talk to him but it seemed like a nice lil cabin.

I've having a Derksen 12x26 cabin with loft built. It's not the fanciest cabin around but it came with a good warranty and is reasonably priced. You can have all sorts of shapes & sizes built. Mine is just a shell with spray insulation but they have completely finished out ones available, also.

Not sure how nice you are going, but I have seen where guys have bought the larger storage buildings at a Lowes or Home Depot (and seen some others on lots). Bought them and built them on the cheap and then finished them out very nice.
I can't speak to cost/foot, but you may want to investigate. I am thinking about doing a little one on the south end of our place.
