Roscoe- you will never know for sure and that is why I do my own. The only thing I do is take in bags of deboned clean meat to Kleins after the season and get some dried sausage. I talked to him and he seemed to be very proud of how he handled his business. I would probably trust this little mom and pop over about anywhere else.
I use Klein's also. Been using them for 25+ years. I have tried some others but prefer Klein's.
I wouldn't go to Hudson's if it was free. I took a customers deer in there a couple years ago. They were very rude. That...I can handle. What I can't handle is a processor spraying RAID bugspray on the fly-covered deer that still have yet to be processed.

Mike's Barnyard is on the north side of 29, just west of 1869, if I remember correctly. Can't miss it, it's a big red barn type building with one of those LED type signs on the road.
I've never used them, but I met Mike a couple years back and he seemed like a decent guy.
There's also Brizendine's out in Bertram. Again, never used him, but I've heard good things.

Thanks for sharing guys. I think I'll give Klein's a try this year. I've gone to Hudson's for the past three years and I've been very happy with it but I don't mind spreading the joy around.

Not trying to dispute you, but for the last couple years the boys at Hudson's use a pretty ingenius way of controlling flies.
they use a propane bottle with a flame-thrower attachment.
Its pretty slick and nukes those flies like a champ.
I would doubt that the sausage you get is from your deer only.
They process hundreds of deer, from a practical standpoint it would be tough to mix every single batch separately, no matter what they tell you.
Thats just my opinion, really I have no idea.
And that crabby old lady is mean as a snake.
But they are my processor still.
The fajita meat and jerky are outstanding.
I butcher most of my own deer, but I get old bucks made into sausage at The Buck Stop, and it's pretty good, and they are fast. Just don't take anything to that taxidermist next door, he is WAY overpriced.
