You could make the short drive out to Brenham and tour a winery/do a wine tasting. Lots of good wineries in the area. Or rent/borrow some kayaks and go paddle somewhere. Or both.

Do you have a boat? You can get a permit from USCG to go up Buffalo Bayou all the way to downtown.

Take sailing lessons. My wife and I got a lot of enjoyment by learning to sail and just going on short trips in the bay and Clear Lake.

The go karts are a blast, but if you go try to go during the day or week. We also enjoy going to Dave & Busters for date night and catching a movie next door or we go to a comedy show at the Improv.

Old Town Spring isn't a bad lazy day out. A lot of little shops for the wife, some good places to eat as well. They have a lot of festivals so you might be able to catch a good weekend. Not a guy type of thing, but not that bad either.

I wouldn't go to Kemah, might just be because I grew up there and I hate what it has become. I guess it's okay if you want to do the touristy thing. I would suggest Galveston over Kemah, lots of history there. Go to Bishop's Palace and/or Moody Mansion on Broadway, walk the Strand (historic district), check out the waterfront (channel) tour the tall ship Elissa and Ocean Star Drilling Rig Museum, eat at Miller's on the Seawall (it's good, has a decent view, and won't cost you an arm and a leg!). In Houston you could go to the Zoo and museum district Museum of Natural Science, Fine Arts, etc.

And Costco has the best deal..
I bought mine off groupon but Costco was still cheaper on the per minute basis.
                            Fun times!
We did this for valentine's day this year

Top gold, bowling - it sounds corby but it's always fun, American shooting center, Kemah yacht club watching the big boats come and go, moody gardens, or get on groupon. There are always horseback rides for sale there. Just trying to think outside the box.

Look up jazz clubs in Houston on google they have some pretty good entertainers around H-Town. Some of them are not to pricy.
