Well, the bad luck continues...I had WT doe there all morning before sun up but we're very skittish. Kept looking into the trees towards the Guadalupe River. I couldn't see anyhting, my guide who was in a rifle blind behind me couldn't see anything either. They would feed, run off, feed almost up to feeder, then run off. Then at 7:47 I saw him again with an axis doe. He was about 65 yards away behind a dead cedar. He and the missus started walking towards the feeder, took about 10 steps and the WT snorted and the race was.on to see who could get outta there the fastest. And then...my 2 favorite Angus Nilgai Cows show up...Mooooo! Apparently they bedded down in the trees last night and had a camp out near the feeder. They are some nice young cows. One even has horns. I texted my guide and asked if they were $1750 each as well because with the price of beef going up and up, 1750 is a really good price for them. Well, I'm back in the room, gonna try again this afternoon. Thanks for following, it's never a dull moment when I go hunting. See y'all this afternoon and hopefully I'll be able to seal the deal. We shall see. The worst day of hunting is still better than the best day at work.

All from same stand location? Are you after the buck you had a pic of reason why your staying in that spot?
If you have a hunt to spare maybe try something different and let it calm down and scent to clear out and who knows maybe luck will happen with a bigger buck at a new spot and if not come back and try it again.

Same location, after the same buck I posted pic of. Probably my last day on this stand...long story there. The guides went out there after I came in to get the cows back across to their pasture. Hopefully he will show today and then we'll all know his true measurement. There are more out there, we just haven't been seeing them. Apparently they lost some of their stands due to the flooding of the past few weeks, so I'm pretty limited on which tripod etc...
Well, I'm leaving the hotel now, hope to post some pic and a report later tonight.

Holding off of BB until tomorrow. I'm not shooting one unless it has 3 curls and is mature. I think they have a plethora of them that are 18-19 ish, but I'd like for him to be a 20+. Those are in stonewall.

Back in the saddle again. 1 hen turkey here already...others are gobbling in the trees. Cows are moved to front pasture with a bsle of slfalfa and fence has been reworked. Hopefully he will show and I c as n get a shot at him. Will update when I shoot or night fall comes.
