Getting worms out of the ground.

A guy I work with showed me a video of him at the lake with his kids this last weekend. He had his daughters rubbing two sticks on the ground and they had worms coming up everywhere. Have any of yall done this? It seemed to work like a champ and he said you can really load up quick on some fishing bait. I have seen videos of what they call worm grunting where they rub a metal bar over a stake in the ground and also some pretty cool rigs where you electricute the ground.

Please share any knoledge you have.

I've had great success with a shovel or hitting up the local Walmart

Saw something related to this on TV sometime last year...apparently it really does work
A strip of metal and a wooden stake offers an obscure but effective way of gathering earthworms for fishing bait.

Diluted bleach poured on the ground makes them hit the surface with a vengeance

I used to get two pieces of re-bar when I was a kid and you would rake off the leaves and get fresh dirt the run one of the pieces of rebar into the ground and run the other one up and down the one stuck in the ground. I was once told it imitated rain hitting the ground, regardless it actually worked.

Just come look at my driveway after it rains... I swear there were thousands of them a couple days ago. I had to walk to the car and every step I squished a couple... Worms creep me out. Seriously...

very cool ideas. The rebar and the notched stick seem to basically do the same thing.
