This is what I have always done. Works great.

Yep, worm grunting.... they actually have a worm grunting festival in Sopchoppy Florida every year....my old stomping grounds.
We used a oak stob driven into the ground about a foot and an old piece of leaf spring, just rub the leaf spring across the top of the stob and up they come. I know folks that make a living in the National Forest back in Florida grunting worms

OK dang it. What do you look for when you call up worms?

What kind of dirt are you looking for I pretty sure it needs to have some moisture in it.

                      A good place to start?

castings. the little piles they leave on the surface.

We just did it the other day with a piece of rebar and a hammer or something to rub against it.

Here is a quick video of me and Colton drawing up some worms the other day. Pretty easy method.

Another very easy way is to get dish washing soap and mix it in with some water in a bucket. Pour over an area in your grass, sit back and watch the show.
