Another one I found while rummaging through the bunker yesterday. Buffalo Trace Single Oak Project from a few years ago. Barrel 55 (wheat, 105 entry proof, level 6 seasoning, tight grain, concrete ricks, #4 char, top half of tree). Very reminiscent of OWA on palate with a great finish, but the nose is a little funky.

I've been playing around with some different bourbon recipes and came up with some fun builds this week if you guys want to try something a little different.
"The Houston"
-.5oz Honey Cayenne Syrup (1 part water, 2 parts honey, dash of cayenne. Bring to boil and let cool)
-.5oz Orange Juice
-2 Dashes Orange Bitters
-3 Dashes Angostora Bitter
-2oz Rye, preferable something on the spicy side (I like whistlepig 10yr or Old Petrero)
-Stir, serve up in a Martini glass
-Express orange peel into glass, then flame
"Spring Sipper"
-.5oz Lemon Juice
-.75oz egg whites
-.5oz Vermouth
-.5oz Honey
-4 Dashes chocolate bitters
-2oz Whiskey (Jack Daniels, Longbranch, and George Dickel all work well)
-Blend all ingredients, shake
-Serve in Martini glass up with a lemon peel
"Blackberry Cobbler"
-1oz Blackberry Syrup (1 cup dark brown sugar, 1 cup water, 1 tablespoon cinnamon, 1 tablespoon nutmeg, and 1 whole clove. Mash a small package of blackberries into the mixture. Bring all ingredients to a light boil, strain, and then chill)
-2 Dashes Peychaud bitters
-2 Dashes Ango bitters
-2 Dashes Orange Bitters
-2oz Rye or George Dickel
-Stir, serve in rocks glass with a large cube
-Garnish with 2 blackberries
"New Fashion"
-.75oz Brown Sugar syrup
-4 Dashes Ango
-2oz Rye
-Serve over big ice
-Garnish with flamed orange and candied cherry
