Interesting. Good luck on your interview. Seems like an efficient way to interview candidates.

I did a sales call last week at BP in Houston with one of our sales engineers presenting via Lync from Colorado. We set up the call in the client's conference room and the engineer went through the presentation on a shared screen. We have a follow-up to go over the results of our bit performance on Wednesday that will include the engineer in Denver, our field sales in Casper, WY and the CM at the rig in Wamsutter, WY. Technology is grand when it works!

The company I work for conducted one of my interviews via skype, no issues what so ever. Just be yourself and check your mic. If you have an older laptop the mic can be hard for the person on the other end to hear (I use skype daily at work) so you may want to buy a headset.

If you want to test your system out, you can PM and I can connect with you via skype.

My company does Skype interviews for all first interviews. Saves time and money to do it on the computer. I can tell you when I was doing the interviews the main things I looked for are the background, what there person was wearing, how they presented themselves. People get flustered on the Skype thing because of computer issues and stuff, lets me gauge how well or not well you deal with stress and complications. Also try to make it so that you have your hands off screen, dont swing around in your chair, keep eye contact and stay cool. Dress to impress and make sure the background is clean, and not too distracting. Stay out of the trophy room, you never know what type of person will be interviewing you. Go neutral and clean for the backdrop, I can not stress that enough.

Be sure to look at lens, not screen. When you look at screen it gives the appearance you're looking down.

              Good offer here.

I use webcams for conferencing weekly as well. I definitely recommend skyping with someone before the interview to work on screen position, posture, and overall jitters.

This one is tough. If you're looking at the lens you miss out on reactions and body language. I like my camera spaced where I can look towards the screen and camera and appear to be looking at folks on the other end.

Finally had the Skype interview today. I'll know Thursday or Friday if I get called back for the second interview.
