I have some cousins who win big about once a month
What's big? $50 I bet they spend more than they make.

Maybe, but I doubt it. Someone get Bill Gates to give the government or the State of Texas 70 Billion or so and lets see if taxes go down... They never do. Somehow they squander every red cent and then still want more.

I Have bought 8 total. First one was a $5 ticket and I won $5 so I turned around and bought 5x $1 tickets. Won $2 so I bought 2X $1 tickets and lost it all. Never played again.

About $50. But I don't play to win. I play to support our schools.

I play sometimes but never win anything significant. It's definitely a way to tax the poor, like cigarettes and beer.

                Me, couple bucks.
But my mom won $10k on a scratch off about 5 years ago
They thought she was having a heart attack in the store she was screaming and panicking so loud.
She called me to come get her and calm her down.

You could stop into a local school and give them the cash and 100% of that would go toward education.

My youngest daughter and her fiancé won $1M about a year ago. She had just found out she was pregnant. They paid off all debt, bought an average house (for DFW) for cash, bought her a new Kia Sorento, put a chunk of money into a college fund for the baby after he was born. Invested the rest.

A friend of ours was graduating high school last year. Her grandmother bought her some scratchoffs for graduation. She won something like $5K/month for life, I think.

It depends on how much they've spent over their lifetime trying. No one admits how much they spend, just how much they've won. They "forget" about all those losing tickets.

I have the best luck with the 10-50.00 scratch offs.
                            1000.00, couple 500.00, a few 400.00, several 100-300.00
and I only play them once every couple of months.

Co-worker of mine had a Christmas party where they did a white elephant gift exchange, the last gift on the table was an envelope with scratch offs in it.
The lady who ended up with them was upset because she didn't believe in gambling, but she scratched them anyway and won $100,000.00!
                              Crazy!
I wish I was at that party.

$500 for me and I hardly ever play. My wife's dad hit $275,000 a couple years ago. I'm sure he was still in the hole though...
