    Bison an yeti

For $99.00 the K2 is tough to beat. I prefer brute(bison) for the larger coolers but for a cooler for you to bring on route everyday the K2 is perfect. It does not have a drain plug but it's only a 20 quart so no plug is needed. It's also half price of the other coolers that size.

I would imagin that was really the only selling point but when I saw the prices I was like there's no real reason to get away from yeti I already have one yeti might as well just stick with them if I decide to not try another co with a lower price point

Where did you find one for $99? Their website shows the 20 qt to be $159.

            website has MSRP prices

local grocery store runs specials 2-3 x's per year... father's day, Christmas, etc...
I've purchased 4 of the 20 qt for $99 , gave them to friends as gifts

also, call K2 and inquire about any scratch and dent specials or factory 2nds .

very minimal , cosmetic damage that can't be sold as 100% new, cooler ice retention still works like a champ

you could cover the scratch/dent with a sticker and no one would ever know

I prefer yeti over Bison. I was given a K2 20qt during a fishing tournament and tried out a couple of times which resulted in giving it away.

I have a Yeti, but I also think Bisons are great coolers. Only thing that has ever turned me away from the Bisons was at one of the TTHA Shows I was the only one at the booth looking at the coolers, and the guy never even came over to answer any questions, or see if I was interested in a cooler. After a couple minutes I just walked off. Probably just had a long weekend at the show. Can't go wrong with either in my opinion.

The Hopper is pretty impressive! The zipper is completely air, and water tight. This is a big deal for me as I'm pretty clumsy and am sure to knock it over in my blind, or truck. I haven't put my hands on a Brute bag cooler but have seen reviews that the zipper is not water tight and does leak. Your right though pretty big price difference in the 2.

                        Bison an yeti

Wth? Why did Brute change its name to Bison?

I guess I'm weird in that I love the Yeti rubber latches. No chance in busting them off when sliding them in tight spots.

Yep. I was going to buy another 65 or bigger, not now.

I just can't think of any situation that the Hopper would be useful to me. It seems bulky and would get heavy when filled w/ ice and drinks. Not practical IMO, but obviously some find it useful.

It is bulky. I looked at the small one that comes out March 1st. It holds a 12 pack plus ice. Much more practical size for what I would use it for.

I'm guessing the trash can peeps didn't like em using the Brute name. I think the rubber latches on a Yeti are better than the others. For the durability factor. My pelican has good latches, but I could see one getting busted off if you weren't careful.
